Peadar Bradshaw is an emerging blues-rock performer and songwriter from Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. His guitar playing draws influence from gritty, straight up bluesmen such as Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughan, while his lyrics are inspired by the vivid storyteling of Springsteen, Dylan, and Dire Straits. This has led to him forming his own voice as a songwriter that he has dubbed "Smoky Blues Rock," due to the noir and in-your-face feeling that his songs portray.
Most commonly found performing with his power-trio "The Peadar Bradshaw Band," Bradshaw will sometimes expand the band to a larger sound for bigger stages. He has also been praised by Hot Press magazine for his ability to make just one acoustic guitar sound as big as a full band during solo performances.
Peadar has well and truly made his mark on the Tipperary music scene. A five-piece variation of "The Peadar Bradshaw Band" won the prize for "Best Original Music" at the Tipperary Battle Of The Bands, and subsequently performed on the Hidden Gems stage at the festival "When Next We Meet".
With his power trio, he has repeatedly packed out local venues with high-octance performances, as well as performing at blues rock festivals such as Chickenstock and Clonmel Rising.
As a solo act, he was awarded the title of Tipp FM "A New Local Hero" as part of Hot Press magazine's competition of the same name for Irish Music Month.
With the upcoming releases from his first EP, Peadar is preparing to bring his "Smoky Blues Rock" music to a wider audience and intends to make his mark on the larger Irish music scene.
